The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institution operational worldwide.

Goethe-Institut promotes the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange. The Institute also fosters knowledge about Germany by providing information on its culture, society and politics. Its educational and training products enable mobility in an international learning community.

With the network of Goethe-Instituts, Goethe Centres, cultural societies, reading rooms and exam and language learning centres the Insitute has played a central role in the cultural and educational policies of Germany for over 60 years.

The Goethe-Institut Cairo organises and supports a wide range of cultural events to showcase German culture abroad and promote intercultural exchanges. Our language department offers German language courses, exams, workshops and seminars for teachers of German as a foreign language.
The info center of the Goethe-Institut Cairo conveys information about aspects of contemporary cultural, social and political life in Germany. The library offers a vast array of books and media items for all those interested in Germany, as well as learners and teachers of German.
