In this 4-day intensive, we will identify personal patterns and social forces that block our ability to engage in satisfying relationships and constructive action. In particular we will connect with values, skills and resources that help us to address rigidity, hardship and oppression from a place of greater wisdom and creativity. The workshop will include voice work, movement practice and various therapeutic drama methods. We will also work with traditional and contemporary Egyptian songs and melodies

This workshop is open to people who are new and experienced with dramatherapy/psychodrama methods

DRAMATHERAPY
Dramatherapy utilizes drama methods for individual, interpersonal and group development. Through the use of voice, movement, story, role-play and improvisation, dramatherapy enables safe expression of emotion, whilst inviting fresh perspectives and insights to emerge. Through dramatic enactments, we are also able to investigate and practice specific actions we might wish to implement in the world around us. Dramatherapy aims to develop our capacity for a life of spontaneity, creativity, collaborative enquiry and constructive action
